Ok after searching around a little while longer on ToyotaNation i found they said to use a 3 or 6 amp diode, but then some other people went on doing it without a diode and it works the same way:notsure:.. so i guess ill do some more searching til i find the easiest way..

Did you "earn" the sash? Or just happen to acquire it?

Ok, so i went and did it without the diode, works perfect... just to clear it up, the one post i saw, the guy said the switch for the map light is a double pole/Single somethin, or somethin like that i cant quite remember, and that when the map light it switched on, it cuts the negative feed to the dome light, thus resulting in the map lights working without dome when switched on themselves. wether or not a diode is needed is beyond me, i may just put one in anyways..

I ran a wire from the negative side of the dome light to input on map lights. no diode. Did it over a year ago and it works perfect every time. I also upgraded to led bulbs.. SO much better.

Well I'm glad you had a good time! I'm jealous!

Yeaaa fj case w/ twins is looking real close on my list.. I'm sick of my 4wd being f-ed up. I have already contacted a lemon lawyer, so I'm going to try and just get a settlement instead of a repair/replacement.
I've been trying to spend more time on TTORA and there are a lot of guys over there that have had the same problems as me. Seems like the actuators need to be cleaned out regularly..

yeah, i did the same, on the map light i bent that leftover pin out and put a female end on the new wire and connected it to that.. as for the LEDs, i just put white ones in the other day, i had red LEDs in all of them, but they sucked for seeing things at night.. although they did looked sweet....

    Nice!

Yea we'll see what happens with the lemon lawyer.. If I can just get a settlement instead of the truck going back to the dealer again, I'd like to talk to you about an fj case and ship it to wyatt for an over haul :D
