    Damn! That's some sweet stuff! Right when I thought it wasn't possible anymore, the damn thing just climbs right up effortlessly. "Then A-TRAC took over..." does that mean it happens on its own or do you have to flip a switch??

    The A-TRAC button is pushed in (everyone with one should push it in, as there is no advantage to open differentials in low range)... It only comes on when you loose traction (one or more wheels begins to spin). On that climb, I came to a point the truck seemed to stop at the steepest point and I just mashed the gas pedal and you could hear the A-TRAC begin to work and the truck continued on.

    When I was at Panda Jerk's Drug Airport (Welk Run) when the truck was pretty new, I had my first A-TRAC experience when I backed down a steep climb I decided not to climb and drove both back tires into a pair of ruts and high centered my truck on the differential and spare tire.

    I was pointing uphill and my front tires were not both on the best of ground. The rear locker would be useless as both rear tires were in the air. Normal 4WD would also allow only one front tire to work, and it would be the one that has less traction (ie. spin free).

    Because of A-TRAC, I was able to drive it up and out of the ruts... I was sold and became an A-TRAC zombie ever since! LOL
