My birthday is coming up and the lady wants to go camping for a weekend.

Due to timing and such, we want to leave early Saturday and head home Sunday evening. Her parents are huge on camping and said we can borrow whatever we need so that leaves me with finding a nice spot.

    Any ideas?

I used to go to Silverwood Lake as a kid but that place looks horrible now (reviews)

I just got the truck on the 22nd and I'd like to find a few trails if possible that we can explore together.

    Anyone have some favorite spots?

back to the topic.... my favorite spot is the deep creek hot springs.

we usually go through some of the trails here in big bear that lead to Horse Springs camp (lower elevation and not so cold at night, great for hammocking) then head to the hot springs the following day for some cliff diving, hot springs soaking etc.

    great time...

Hey guys just wanted to say thanks on the info and a group run would be awesome since I'm new to both camping, and the Tacoma. :) I'm going to ask the lady what she'd rather do. She could be totally cool with a joint thing if you guys had ladies going as well. She loves camping and stuff but she'll probably feel out of place if its a bunch of guys and their tacos/fjs/etc.

Either way, I live off the 210 and can be on the 330 in 10 minutes so a group thing can always happen! Sounds like fun. I'm going to be heading to Lowes in Redlands to pick up some rugs and I'll have a chance to ask her about the ideas later tonight.

I'll get back to you guys though. :) (sorry for spelling, at work. only showing like 1/100th of the screen) ;) ;)

I'm going with the girlfriend so most of my time will be spent with her (I don't want anyone to think I'm an ass or anti-social...or whipped..)just gotta keep her happy. :D but it'd be nice to have a decent group pull through.
