I figured this thread would be a good place to get some good info. I'm looking at a 94 Reg Cab DX 4x4 4cyl manual to drive to and from work. I found one with 253,000 miles on it. My question is what areas should I inspect before pulling the trigger and taking this yota home? Are there any visual signs under the hood that would sway you guys away from it? Underneath the truck, where should I look for possible problem areas? Thanks guys

Edit* I checked out the carfax. According to it, the truck has been owned 6 times during its lifetime. An accident occured during the time the last owner had it. That might explain the great condition of the paint.

The first one is near Dinosaur National Park a few years ago. The second one is at the top of Ophir Pass this June. They still hadn't plowed the Telluride side. Tons of snow!
The one of me in the mud was on the way to Bill Moore Lake.

There's nothing technical to Ophir. Couple of ruts. But it's pretty cool up there.
Dinosaur is on 40 near the Utah boarder. North of Grand Junction. Lots of sandy trails around there to get stuck in.
