so today i crawled under the ol' taco and noticed my leaf springs are sitting about parallel to the ground ginda flat. i do have a 2" block in the back. thinking about some different suspension options that wont require to much money. any ideas? would liek to stay aroun 3-6 inches of lift thanks guys.

if your rear leafs are sagging (worn out, which they probably are, my 97's are) the only thing you can do is replace them with new leaf packs. An add-a-leaf will get you some height back, but will sag soon enough b/c of the worn leafs...

IMO, get rid of the block in the back and save up for some new leaf packs to achieve the lift that you want. Trailgear and all pro have leaf packs for 3"+ of lift IIRC.

Get rid of that damn block ASAP. That is whats killing your leafs. Your going to have to replace them basicly. Ton of options. Allpro Expos give just over 4'' of lift. But they don't fit your truck, you'd have to mod the mounts.

I got over 4'' of lift with a wheelers 5 pk and wheelers AAL and 1.5'' shackles.

yea, your leafs would be about flat without the blocks. With the blocks they are dying a painful death:(. Doing an AAL at this point is just like "polishing a turd". I replaced my stock leafs with Dakars. Love 'em. Good luck!

You think yours are shot you should see mine. I put in a AAL and it has helped a bit but it is only a temporary solution until I can get some new leafs.

You guys should see my springs. They would put all of yours to shame. I have 3" blocks and the springs are probly sitting at -2" from level.

It will be nice to put on the new springs :)

AAL's just prolong the spring wear. Eventually you'll end up the with the sag or a broken leaf.

    This is true

Only reason I'm running an AAL is to prolong the denial

Not exactly, ive had the aal for a little while now ,and not much sag at all, I actually want it to sag , i dont like the level stance ,I actually took off one off the aal's to try and take some arch out of it, becuase i had the truck somehow slightly taller on one side, and i flattened the crap out of it and nothing.

you want a bro lean? :D

But eventually the AAL will sag. Give it time.

Adding 1 leaf to a sagging leaf pack will not fix the problem as a entirely new, non-sagging pack.
