Hi guys, this is my first post, been trolling for awhile. You are a wealth of information I would be lost without this place.

I have a 2011 magnetic grey v6 trd off road quad cab SB, 2wd and live in south texas. I have gotten stuck several times in soft sand and now am ready to upgrade to a 4wd taco.

    Should I

    A. Trade in at dealer for a 2012 4wd
    B. Sell private party then get a used tacoma 09-11 then put goodies on (supercharger, rims/tires, and a 3in lift).

    Thanks for the feedback

B, but as usual, easier said than done. The private market is a tough world, and trading in is sooooo easy! Gl!

Haha, I like the consensus. I just figure it's about 10 grand difference. Dealer will give me $25k for my truck. Then a new one pre-tax is around 29k. So I guess the difference is only about $4k. That's for an '11. Maybe better deals are around the corner with the '12 s coming out. I just dont want to buy a new one just to trade it in when toyota decides to re-design the tacoma, if they ever do. I also don't think I have the patience for private party. I only have 2 days a week to deal with people wanting to check the truck out which could prove to be a disaster. Plus with dealer I just drive in and drive out. Bleh, decisions decisions...... I definately want a Supercharger though, my buddy has a raptor and holy crap that thing is beast.
