    Me too! Im only working til 1pm then im out to shop for food and then get ready to leave! Whoo Hoo! I was wondering if at sometime maybe you could let my Daughter and her boyfriend ride with you, so you can give them the ride of there life?:D

    unfortunately I have to work tomorrow night :mad: tried to get off to do some prep but couldnt and I dont get off untill 12:30 am! looks like ill have to prep before work tomorrow. Oh and anywhere in town I can get an Icom radio? even if it is down the hill.

    In Anaheim is the Ham Radio Outlet. $230 for the radio and another $60 or so for the antenna. You can also call Kartek to see what they have in stock. There are other brands of ham radios (race radios).

    If ya cant afford the $230 to $299 for a installed unit, i picked up my ICOM V80 sport handheld for $99 and then modded it for the higher race channels. You can pick one up at the Ham Radio Outlet:D

    I want check some radio out but not sure if I will have enough time, Still need to buy food and stuff and prep the truck since it just got out of the shop. Can I buy one at radio shack or something? If so what brand should I look for?

    Radio shack doesn't carry 2meter radios:( Just Cb's

    Ok guys found this off of ham radio warehouse but the only problem is the frequency range is 144-148Mhz then I started looking at all of the mobile ones Icom offers and they are all 144-148 in the US.

    the mobile in car race radio is 75w and it kills the CB being so close together...

    the hand held ham doesn't push as much wattage so likely won't harm a mobile CB too much...

    Johnnie, try turning your output on the V8000 to low power...
