Welding class

Did anyone do that class when they were in high school? Did you like it and was it worth it?

 

i took it in college and had a blast.

 

alright because i was thinking about my career path and i signed up for it for my Junior year in High school. I was just wondering what everyone thought....and it would help me with my truck.

I heard that the welding teacher will give you a project to do and it can be ANYTHING.... Wheres my truck!!!!

I took welding/manufacturing at my HS my sophomore-senior years. I loved it. Built all kinds of stuff my 2nd and 3rd years. We basically got to build anything we wanted after the first year of class, just had to draw up detailed plans and then keep busy all the time. It was awesome. I built front and rear bumpers for my previous Chevy 1/2 ton in there and a bunch of other stuff.

 

thats what my thoughts are just take advantage and build something nice in there for my Taco

 

Welding will enable you to do all kinds of things for your truck.

Not to mention, if you are good at it, you will be able to make $$$$$$$$$$ as a professional after you get out of school. A good welder out in this area (of SC) can make $30 an hour or more.

 

yep. Being a weldor can be a good career choice. Just get a weldor's certificate and you can live anywhere you want while making good pay.
A little geeky but "weldor" is the person doing the welding, a "welder" is the physical welding machine.

 

Yeah but like my career path is in the Automotive industry. either an Automotive designer or something with physical activity in it
