been crazy busy recently back in florida. i have a ton of pictures to post, and will try to have them up soon.

since the last update, i've finished and installed the roof rack, altered the light bar on my bumper and added some better lights, went on another wheeling trip, and built my own CAI.

pictures as soon as i have time, but for now i tossed the most recent picture at the top of the OP.

    Cheers!

Ive been meaning to ask you for a long time, but where did you get your taillight guards from? do they bolt on? cause i got a pair but they are held on by double sided sticky tape...

yeah, mine bolt on. there are two tabs right inside the bed that use the bolds that hold the taillighs in. there is also a tab that hooks around the outside of the taillight. surprisingly strong.

they are made by a company called 4-real steel, however, it looks like they've stopped making them since bought them (mine are 4 years old). westin does make a set, but from the pictures, it looks like they don't have that 3rd support tab. mine were also a little less expensive. but then again, people raise prices in a 4 year period.

this is the only site i can find that still sells 4-real steel stuff.

thanks Colin (glad you spell your name correctly btw)

just took some pictures of how they mount for ya....

here's how they bolt to the inside of the bed. there is a second bolt at the bottom that it uses the same way
    [IMG]

and here's the biece that goes between the tail light and the bedside.
they are very strong. my CB antenna has been mounted to the passenger side one for about two years. i actually clipped a tree out wheeling about a month ago with my cb antenna, doing about 40. hit it hard enough to break the antenna off, and the light guard was perfectly fine. i actually didn't even know anything had happened until i walked by it later and sliced my hand on the leftover shard or antenna. sticking up.

Theres only one way to spell Colin and thats will 1 L, every where i go, people always think its with 2 L's

Thank you for the pictures! Thats exactly what i want in taillight guards, i might just buy those westins cause anythings better than double sided sticky taillight guards.
but dang i wish i knew back then where you got yours from :(

and the ride only got rougher from there

like the new graphic in your sig btw. clean and simple.

you probably get the people who pronounce it colon too....i hate that.

the westin ones look good. if you do get them and they don'thave the third tab and seem a little insecure, you could always get one welded on. i love mine.

I could write a book on how many people pronounced my name wrong and what not, now when people ask for my name i say it as if they are a 3 year old and spell it out. Im tired of people screwing it up lol. And honestly your like probably the 2nd person i have met that spelled Colin right haha.

But once i get my taillight guards sold im definitely gonna get the westins, and in the most unlikely chance you sell yours, hit me up and i will buy them, but i know that wont happen lol
