Dakar with Billsteins or OME N182?

    I wondered if the bilstein 5125 or 5100 would work with the Dakars (providing 2.75" lift)? Not sure if they come in different lengths for this application. I know that the OME shocks are designed to go with this leaf pack but honestly they are ugly as hell and I like the look of the billy's.
    flame away if you must - but i like the way the bilstein look over the bright mustard yellow of the OME shocks. Front will have toytec C/O with bilsteins.
    I would like to get the best ride possible and would certainly go with the recommended OME shocks but wondered if anyone else has tried the bilstein/dakar combo and what their feedback was.

    I have run both OME and Billys -- OME wins hands down... :thumbsup: In fact, I'm not exactly sure what the fuss is about the Billys when the OMEs are out there...

    X3 on the OME. Mine didn't stay yellow for long, there more of a brownish, grayish mud color!

    Bilstien makes FANTASTIC shocks. They are among the best out there, and work great! The dampening rates are very close to the OME's. The 5100's in the rear of my truck work great. BUT, they heat up MUCH faster than the OME's do. Today, On a 3 mile stretch of fast desert road, my 5100's were 150* while the OME's up front only got up to 110*. First chance I get, Im switching the rear's to OME.
