I haven't seen any crazy deals on 2011. They are all at invoice or just a touch under. I think in a month or so you can get a 2012 for invoice. That's the plan anyways. Now... to select a color.

It's all about negotiation, my friend.

I've always been a fan of black when it came to my cars, but this time I went with silver - as I wanted something that didn't show scratches as much, given that I am quite "retentive" when it comes to that.

    Good luck!

I'd rock the 2012, even having just bought my '11 in April. I think I'll possibly trade in for a newer taco if they do a mechanical upgrade. Until then, I'm happy with my truck.

Also, you never get THAT much negotiated off the price of a taco anyways. The truck sells itself so there's never a huge incentive for dealers to mark them down drastically (unless of course they're trying to clear out those older models for the 2012 :)).

I got mine for $25,099 (vehicle price) and according to Overstock.com, the invoice price for my trim level and options is $27,084.

I'd say there is definitely some room to negotiate - at least in Southeast Toyota. I imagine you will see fairly disparate pricing even amongst neighboring regions, though.

Then you should really be able to get the hookup. :D

You don't have to say if you don't want to, but are you sales/service/operations/etc...?

thats because both of you have the 2011. If you liked the 2012, you'd be taking a financial kick in the balls to upgrade.

Even if I liked the 2012 much more than the 2011. I would never trade to be upside down in a vehicle. It is never worth that.

Am I just behind, or is the first sighting of a real-life 2012? They still can't upgrade up the wheels I see.

If you drive a lot of miles a year buy the 11 then in a year or two you will still have low miles for the model year if you buy the 12 you will have higher miles and be worth less then the 11. Plus if you plan on any mods to front bumper right away you may have to wait.

Yeah you are behind. Real world pics of the 2012 on a transport truck showed several days ago on the mega thread. This is the best shot of the sport package so far. They also have a sport wheel upgrade with an 18 inch wheel but why? Don't know...don't care.

I really like how they moved forward the area with the buttons by the shift. In my truck I have to go by feel or duck under a bit to see the buttons. My friend's Frontier has them all laid out where they are easily visible.

    This looks much better now.
