Getting ready for the winter, I decided it was time to go ahead and get some better tires for the season. I still had a little bit of tread left on them but I decided it was time to go up in size and ability.

I chose the Firestone Destination A/Ts (265/75/R16). No real reason why I picked them over any others. They ride really nice and from the looks of it and word from others, they should be able to handle the wet, snowy and slushy weather coming in the next few months. Also, they will perform a lot better on the trails should I decide to venture off the paved path.

I think I got about a 2/3" of lift (if I am reading the tire specs right) from the deal too!! Original tires 30.5" New ones 31.7". :woot:

Looks great! It's amazing how a larger, more aggressive tire can change the "personality" of a truck.

I know. I knew they looked better but it isn't as noticeable until you see the before and after pics. Thanks!

Also, my speedo is actually accurate now. It was 2 MPH higher according to my GPS and Deputy Sheriff friend of mine.

Thanks for the info. Yeah, it sucks my MPGs are going to suffer. I'll take it though. :D I edited the original post for the tire size. I thought I had it in there but I guess not. They are 265/45/16s so I guess I did go up 2 tire sizes.

Thank you sir. You won't regret changing them. Especially with those nice winters you get over your way.
