i call bs. your saying if you were letting your truck warm up to leave campus and some jackass was jumping up and down in the bed of your truck you would sit there and watch? hah yeah my ass.

i would have done that or drug him out of my truck and made sure he smacked his face on the ground at the same time.

ok i do agree with you here.... all but the last part. i just graduated and i know first hand schools do not do shit to people about stuff like this. they might call him up and tell him "you need to stop getting into the back of peoples trucks"

and thats it, schools dont do a dam thing unless someone was actually hurt.. i know first hand, so i took matters into my own hands a couple times and the kids never did anything stupid again.

This is still America......not the Soviet Union. We have a reasonable expectation to protect our private property. This sort of surrogate state mentality listed above only does a disservice to what makes our country great.

With that said, 2 wrongs do not make right. You should have probably asked the kid nicely once to discontinue being a tool. Forewarn him of your intention to drive off. Then he would have less recourse if he did seek a law suit.

This view will change a kid's behavior really quick in a situation like this!

Thanks to the fact that my truck is an extension of my home under the Texas Castle Doctrine, and the fact that his jumping in the bed of the truck makes him an aggressor under the law, this response is completely legal.

yeah I'm sure if somebody jumped on your police car and started throwing trash at it you'd act so lightly. such a fluffer.

You should of got out and told him to get out or you're going to make him. And then if he didn't i would of put the truck in drive and left. if he stayed in there he woulda been stranded wherever you ended up anyways and if he fell out, taught him a lesson.

Screw the law. Laws are fucked up anyways. Who cares if it was against the law to start his truck and hit the brakes so the idiot would get out. thats why i hate cops because they think the law is always the answer. when it is not.

All the cops in my town are fat slobs. There should be monthly physical requirements they have to pass. I.e. run a 2mile in 12 minutes or less, 30 pull ups etc. I don't want some overweight dumbass cop trying to protect my family or friends.

WIN! as long as its legal, that would be funny as hell to watch the kid shit bricks when you bring out a hand gun, and cock it just for added effect. You dont even need a clip in it, just seeing it come out would make most people vacate the area at mach 1.

in a school parking lot??? c'mon

and for a kid jumping in the back of your truck?

a simple "hey, the fuck are you doin'?!?!" would have sufficed

with responses like pointing a gun for the kid jumping in your truck is the reason legislators want gun control in this country. what if he had a gun and pointed it back? then youd have shot each other... why...because he jumped in the bed of your pickup truck??? sounds like a great news article to me

if he was doing damage like jumping on the hood of your car... react the same way. WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING?!?!? and call the police dont take it into your own hands unless you are in a life threatening situation.

You will respond (its withing the law to protect your property). well yes as long as he is doing the act violently or with malice. But if he damaged your car and is continually damaging it even if you stop him your property is damaged so let him keep going and then sue his ass for damages. If hes swinging a bat and destroying your vehicle and you think your in danger run his ass over or shoot him. not for a simple kidding around jumping in your truck. This kid seems like he was messing around not doing anything that would make you fear for your life

a kid being a dumbass is no need to use deadly force

We got the administration at my school involved because it happenedon school grounds, the trash in bed not the ticket, they made him pay myparents back for it or face being suspended for 2 weeks which meant he wouldn'tbe able to do any class or homework for a grade, would have gotten zero's foreverything during suspension period, and he would've gotten an automatic zeroon all of his exams which would have meant failing and not walking with theclass. OP I think you over reacted, we all love our trucks or else we wouldn'tput so much money into them, but it's just a truck there are so many things inthis world that are way more important than material items such as a truck. Ihave a friend who is doing 20-life for beating up a guy who leaned on the hoodof his car and put a golf ball sized dent in it. It wasn't creased so all hehad to do was pop it out with his hand or a hammer something like that. He andthe other guy fought by themselves in a spot in the middle of nowhere, he brokethe other guys jaw crushed in parts of his skull and cracked a few ribs puncturinghis lung and diaphragm which collapsed the un-punctured lung. The ambulance gotto him and airlifted him out but he choked on the blood that had filled his puncturedlung in the chopper, they got him back via opening the other lung but he died afew days later in the icu Next time just get out, stare him down, and tell himto get off. Nothing but protecting your family is worth killing for.

    You are ridiculously naive.
And dont turn this into a cop bash. You bitch about them until the day you need them, then you'll just bitch about how they "didn't help me quick enough!" and blahblahblah
