The reason I brought up the whole truss thing is back when I used to roll full sized 4x Fords, Dodge's ,etc. we always trussed our axles front & rear not only because we used to romp the shit out of them but also the weight factor, just never heard mention from anyone about going it, it seemed logical to me that when your sub framing this & gusseting that, trussing the axle would figure into the mix, linked or not thats alot of force on axle when yer mobbin'... just my $.02 ;)

And what I'm saying is I've never seen an axle bend at the center, and there is not much force on the upper link mounts compared to the lowers/leaf spring perches

^ this happens a lot in drag racing. When power's applied, the tires actually try to drive past the axle. Given enough power and time they can eventually get their way.

Assuming it's similar to the Camburg Race setup, requires more custom work. Engine cage, new Shock mounts, etc!

Oh yeah, I can see an "engine cage required" warning label all over that.

so this is what i want to do to my truck... i think it would be bad ass.

ditch my tube bumper, put stock back on, replace lower valence with the TT style black shit, all new skids under engine and tranny, and get some light bars to put in the stock grill...

^Been thinking the same thing. I go back in forth in my head if I should leave mine on and build a skid up to the bottom of it. I think it would look good

If you look at my avatar since its small and imagine that stock skid is all beefy, that kinda what it would look like

This is how it looks right now

I wanna either do something like this OR tuck it just under the original bumper and keep the original on there too and put the lights in the grille with the grille cut out to fit
    EDITED: to non mcdonalds colors

yeah, burger king colors would be better haha

that would look good with the small portion of the stock bumper still there.

i want something similar, but with the TT syle lower valence like on that raptor. that looks so cool i think
