I'm assuming you're one of the dumbshits that bought crappy aftermarket floor mats and tried to blame Toyota for faullty pedal problems!!

Opinions are always welcome but if you just wanna hate then leave.........

    Seriously!

2012 is pretty close to the hilux front end (which is ugly as sin), they are everywhere over here. Extremely happy with my 2011, very difficult to navigate car parks tho.

As a 2009 owner, I can tell you that my hatred of the front end comes because it looks like ass on a biscuit.

    Just FYI.

I actually think the 2012 looks pretty badass, and the interior is pretty sweet (as subtle as it may be when you really look at it).

With that being said, I love my 2011 and as of right now, I don't see it being worth the several grand it would cost me to trade up to the 2012. Hell, the only thing I would be willing to pay for right now is the larger backup camera. :D

I will definitely be trading in once the new powertrain is in them, and has been for at least a year, so they can work out the kinks.

No need to get your panties in a bunch about some of the 2011 owners hating on it - it happens every time a new model is released, and it will continue to happen until time travel/teleportation becomes the standard. They like it, but need to justify their recent purchase to themselves and others, so they can fight off the need to trade up. At the same time, some of them may actually not like it at all...but I imagine that is a small percentage. :)

In the end, for me, I love Toyota...and as long as I'm driving one every day, I'm happy.

    Fink

I still don't understand what those blisters are on the side of the headlights, my wife's camry has the same shit. As do other cars I've seen.

The new angles of the 12 front end don't match the rest of the truck. It would have looked much better if they had sharpened some of the body lines to match similar to the new 4runners. It just doesn't fit right.

I read a post a while back that said the protruding part of the headlights are to make the turn signals more visable from the side.

Why the hell did that image pop into your mind in the first place? Ass on a biscuit? That belongs in the "things that make you say WTF" thread.

It does look like ass on a biscuit, that's why people hate it. It has nothing to do with being a previous gen owner. It doesn't flow and looks like shit. That's all there is too it.

I think you need to visit the optometrist. There is nothing wrong with the lines..."That's all there is too it"

I think all of the updates improved the areas I didn't like about 2011.

I think it would look way better if the entire trucks lines matched the front tho

OEM running boards and roof rack. Yellow fog bulbs and WeatherTech mats and window visors.
I get the feeling, this is just some "let in changes" before a complete redesign. Could be totally off base though

Exactly. And the side of the bumper directly in front of the tire used to follow much better with the shape of the bottom part of the doors on the 05-11.
