I went to the dealer today and had my 5000 mile service. I talked to them about the rear leaf tsb. They are willing to do it im just undecided about it. I really don't NEED it because I don't haul anything but I wanna lift my truck with billy's a couple inches in the front and am wondering if I can do the tsb in the back and have what I need back there? Or should I leave it as it is .....

Did you get any lift from doing it and how much different does it feel? And did they replace shocks too?

No dumb question jus search...in the rear i have billys with no tsb and 2inch aal, rides super smooth not stiff or anything. My front toytec coils are set at about 3inches and sits perfectly level... Handles real nice too had no problems

So with that setup did you have to get new uca's? I want to level or slight lift but don't wanna go as far as to need new uca's if I can avoid it

I'd do it. I had it done on mine and it gives a much better ride, lifts the rear a little and although it's still a weak leafpack, if you put an AAL in the TSB leafpack, it will hold up better than an AAL in the non-TSB leafpack. I wouldn't bother if you are planning on totally replacing your leafpack with lifting springs, but otherwise it's worth it. They won't change the shocks since you already have Bilsteins.

UCA...i did not get a set yet i will eventually..you dont have to go as high as 3 inches tho, if you looking to jus level it then you could jus go with spacers or something up front..and if you do the tsb and want to lift it more, go with a 1.5 aal. If no tsb then i recommend 2inch aal

Nope i didn't replace the shocks or bump stops. Didn't apply. The updated shocks and stops are already installed.

It feels more like a truck now than before but not that much, It's still a far cry from what a real truck is suppose to feel like. This is why there are so many threads.

You'll need to sort through everyone's opinion and make a decision.... Maybe it will be an inch when it settles

Im hoping to avoid spending any money on the rear until I get wheels/tires bought and would like to get a good stance by raising/ leveling the front. So I thought the tsb might be a good choice for the time being?!?!?!?!

Im thinking if it will give me an inch in the rear id be happy with that. Then I can do the 5100's in front at 2.5 and have a pretty good stance with some 265/70 17 m/t on it .....

You're really trying to get a cosmetic lift by having the TSB done?

    How is that not stealing?

I wouldn't say it is stealing

x2, I wouldn't either, I'd say it's calling Toyota out for putting a sorry excuse for a leaf pack on the truck from the factory. Toyota knows they're inadequate, otherwise the TSB leafpack wouldn't come stock on Canadian models. If the suspension the truck should have rolled off the showroom floor with.

For starters how do you even consider it stealing? It is an update to the stock suspension. I spoke with the dealer and they said the tsb is an open option to have done at the customers request. So you sir are kinda being a dick for even stating something like that imho!

Just got the TSB yesterday. Measured before and after. Gained 5/8 inch (which I am sure will settle out over time). Don't know how some people are claiming 1 1/2 inches of lift with TSB??

They are overly optimistic in their measurements, and not just when measuring their Taco's lift... :rimshot:
