Seems the 0-60 times I have read with the auto are slightly faster than the 6 speed. Havent seen any 1/4 mile times...

    Intake, exhaust, lift. Typical stuff.
Is the 2nd gen auto a dual clutch or torque converter?

Yes, the auto will shift quicker, but gearing plays a huge role in this equation. Slower shifts, with lower gearing, and the ability to take it to redline can make it a race.

The 5 speed manual is quicker than the 4 speed auto in the 2.7s'

Yes, but I cant remember off hand. Not sure if Level 10 is working on the new trannys yet. Superwerty has an upgrade, so you may want to ask him. Also, You may want to check your fluid if the shifts are slow, or lagging. Mine shifts tight, and fast all the time. Especially the 1/2 shift.

The 5 speed auto is pretty dam stout. The 4.0 isnt putting out enough power to come close to harming it. You can get close to its limits if your SC'd and modded, but stock, its like an old slant 6 in front of a 727 auto....
