Will mud terrains vibrate steering wheel and truck

I have a 2000 Ext Cab V6 3.4L 4x4 tacoma. Have a leveling kit with a diff drop. I have firestone destination mts on the truck. For a long time I have been getting vibrations through the steering wheel and the entire truck. U joints are good. inner outter tie rod ends are good. lower control arm bushings good. happens at all speed does not matter if i am accelerating or slowing down brakes have no effect i dont have play in the wheel bearings and the cvs are good. the only thing i can figure is the tires. they have more wear in the middle than the edges. and it does not matter what air pressure i run in the tires

 

The uneven wear is indicative of your tire pressure being too high. M/T's can cause vibrations, I'm not real familiar with the tread pattern of those specific tires but M/T's have a very open tread pattern and deep lugs. that can cause vibrations. It should be more noticeable at slower speeds though. Did you change anything on the truck when you started noticing the vibration, like new tires, lift component, the diff drop, etc or did it just start out of the blue?

 

More wear in the middle? It sounds like you've overinflated them-
MT's tend to ride harsher than street tires, sometimes they give vibes. I don't have experience with the firestone M/T's so I cant tell you if that's for sure your problem though.

Have you gotten an alignment?

 

well ive run the pressure down low and it never made a difference on the wear. Thats what i thought pressure to high. When I first got them they did not vibrate. Then progressivly more and more. Got to the point it is now doesnt get worse or better. I had the diff drop and leveling kit with no vibrations

 

do have an alignment i can let go of the steering wheel and it only goes one way or the other if the road is sloped that way. I hit a deer and it knocked it off plus i replaced inner and outter tie rod ends along with control arm bushings

 

really just seems to have started out of the blue

 

Bent rim maybe?

 

not going to say its not a bent rim as i dont offroad and havnt hit anything its a 15" rim so plenty of sidewall protection there really doubt it im leaning towards it being the shitty tires will never have another set

 

Tires out of balance is the cheapest and simplest thing to check first.

 

had them rebalanced and out of balance would make it bounce not a constant vibration

 

any more ideas?

 

i figured out what was going on. wasnt even the tires. the joint between the 2 piece driveshaft has 3 grease zerks and i had been missing one for awhile hoping it didnt cause too much damage. greased that joint and vibs damn near stopped. thanks for the help though
