I am doing BHLM and I am wanting to black out my turn signals and corner marker, but before doing this, I am curious if anyone has had problems getting their vehicle inspected because their turn signals and corner lights are not amber

NC law states that lights are to be amber for marker (turn signals) red for tail and stop lights. If you have had your truck inspected they have checked the light on your windows.Tinted tail lights and tinted head lights are for show only. Not for highway use.
1 thing to remember when I am driving my 18 wheeler behind you and you go to stop and I don't see your lights go on I might roll right over you and your family, and my reaction to NCHP will be I didn't see any working tail lights.
P.S. 80,000 lbs. is very hard to stop.
Sorry for the rant but I see stupid things all day every day in 4 wheelers.I am the most hatted man in my town I'm in your way all day and drive like an old man when in the taco.:D

yeah i mean it kind of has to do with your area. like being in raleigh i wouldn't do it at all. it would just give cops a better reason to pull you over. .. not that i really ever have anything to hide, but, who likes getting pulled over ya know? . . . if i was back in rural NC where im from, know everybody, know the cops really well, have one guy i go to for my inspections and i liked the look of it, maybe.

though also reading this i see what he's saying. it's like those lexus commercials a few years ago where they put whatever car it was in the room with all those clocks and advertise how when they ring all of them you can't hear anything inside the car. that's like worst commercial ever. i would like to hear other car horns and anything else that would help prepare/protect me from having a wreck. same concept here. you know how you get behind a POS with brake lights out and it scares you when you realize they brake and how quick you move up on them? pretty wild how important they actually are. . .. or maybe im just rambling for no reason

I left the corner reflectors amber but removed the little reflector piece over the turn signal bulb and painted that area black. So where my signals are is all black but when I turn my turn signal on you can see the orange bulb flashing. Look in my build thread and you'll see it. I haven't had problems with inspection or cops and VA sucks

I just finish my lights a few hours ago, I ended up removing the amber and the turn reflector to paint the headlight bessel , then I installed them again so that I would have factory amber reflector and turnsignal for inspection and safety purposes!

I have had no problems getting inspected. Just left the amber bulbs in, reflectors came out.

As for legality and laws, ask a lawyer, not TW.
