Fire extinguisher install - pics/ideas??

I want to mount my fire extinguisher inside the cab somewhere on my 1st gen double cab. This is my daily driver, so I'd like it somewhere that's not in the way or obvious, but also easily accessible (obviously!),.

Any ideas????

 

under the seat? It will be pretty difficult unless you have a cage.

 

I thought about that, and I have it just sitting under the passenger seat now, but I was hoping to put it somewhere easily reachable from inside the cab, but isn't intrusive for me or passengers (or my kids) while driving.

I have an amp mounted under the driver seat, so that takes up all that space.

I'm now trying to decided between two spots:

1) Mounted on the rear floor in between the two seats. Easily reachable, but seams kind of exposed to kids' feet...

2) On the far left side of the floor in the rear, in that little crook between the rear door and the seat. Not as easily reachable, but totally out of the way.

I'm leaning towards option 2 at this point...

If you have small legs, mount it on kick panel.
Or on backside of center console

 

Are in-cab fires a realistic scenario? I fires under the hood or under the truck are more likely, so a bed-mounted extinguisher makes sense.

I heard if your vehicle has a fire extinguisher you can get a deduction on your car insurance

this was my thought. If there's a fire inside, I'm getting my kid (and maybe the wife) out, first, then worry about everything else later.

I more want it inside for easy of access (not having to run to the bed for an engine fire) and to keep it out of reach from d-bag high-school kids (I live near a HS).

I guess when this rig gets turned into a primary trail rig (instead of trails/daily driver), I'll put one on the outside, too.

Yeah, there's al sorts of random things you can get deductions for.

 

Something like a NitroStrike mini-foamer is a little smaller, easier to deploy, and can be used on a wider variety than a multi-chem.
