How did yall learn to weld? I really wish i could so i could do these types of things myself (bed bob, bumpers, and other little things) instead of paying someone else to do it for me.

    Sounds good.

I have used one. Striking an arc is about the hardest part. Granite I only used one a handful of times.

I think ill just have to buy one since I dont have any friends that have one. I live in a preppy school. kids driving BMWs and mercedes, a few have the massive trucks that are loud as hell and have never seen dirt. They are always shiny and wonder why mine is always dirty.

U can get a good mig pack from Lincoln that runs on 220 for under $800.00. I just came up from a 110volt- 130amp to a 220volt 180 amp is so much more useful. Trust me save and buy one 1 welder ... its much more cost effective.

Sheilding gas can be rented or purchased later if u don't have $ off the bat

Got my bed off and got pulled over within an hour of each other......

What he got me for: No fenders, no bed, no mud flaps, exposed gas tank, and no bumpers.........

this is how I was 15 minutes before being pulled over [IMG]

Exposed gas tank isn't a law, he was gonna try and get me for improper transport.....bed, fenders and mud flap are not required on trucks with a payload under 3000, and my bumpers are bumpers, just the rear one is too tall.....

    I hate UTPD

UTPD sucks ass. they go by the book so to speak. if it was county i would ask you who the officer was. i may now him. so if county ever stops you PM me. brother works for the county. and i know a few KPD.

did you tell him you are working on it? and that it is you’r ONLY form of transpiration? and i agree it’s ok. i have seen worse on the road.

Well the only thing illegal about the truck is the bumper height, it's above 31" with no weight on the truck.

Do you know of an exposed gas tank code? I looked and couldn't find one. It's inboard the frame and if a car hit it the truck would be screwed big time period.

I told him I just took it off and was only driving it home after class and then fixing it. It was an officer kinder.

Now I have to decide to fight it or just pay.....gonna file a complaint either way.
