Hi T.W., New to the truck suspension modding, just got my toytec full coilovers, differential drop, rear tsb aal, with the 5125 billsteins. Toytec is the best in customer service and are true to their product time of arrival and communication, best company that i've dealt with when ordering parts online. Well, i have a question on the ride height on the coilovers in the front. I've heard it's easier to adjust the height when its off the truck and do i need to raise the coils to make it even with the back or is the preset height o.k.? How much, if adjustment is needed? Thank's guys for all your help!!:D

    It's the wife's T4R so it's stock
Yes, adjust the coils off the truck -- it's difficult to adjust while on.

If you do end up adjusting them on the truck, make sure the front of the truck is off the ground.

The springs will still settle after a few hundred miles.Measure the wheel well, write it down. After they settle, crank 'em back up.Then get your alignment.

But even when the truck is off the ground, you have to be He-Man to adjust that stuff when they're mounted! I finally just took them off to adjust them. Easier and faster... :)

got the kit installed last night, took me and a buddy about 5 hours to install, had a little trouble fitting the bilsteins shocks on the back, the bushings on the bottom were a tight fight. Also,it was a pain to have to take off my bull bar, and all the skid plates off, to get to the diff. I was wondering what skid plate do i have to modify? I've gotten the front one on, didn't put the middle one on due to that, i had to go to work. The only thing is that after installing, i have the dreaded, driveline vibrations, Sucks but do any of you guys have a remedy for this? Can chuck norris roundhouse that vibration away :D

Try the diff drop, and shimming the rear axel.

i Have the diff. drop installed. I will look into the rear axel shim, thanks. I was also wondering which skid plate did i have to modify?? I took off the front skid and also the middle black one. I used the spacers that came with the kit for the factory silver skid plate. Do i have to drill new holes or extend the holes on the skid plate? Also would that vibration hurt my taco in the long run?

Not sure on the skid plate thing. I never had to modify one for a lift. No telling what issues the prolonged vibes could cause, but I dont think they could hurt anything.

In the kit from toytec, they had a bag which i didnt know where it went to, a longer bolt, washers, and two square spacers, i think was for the skid plate, due to the diff drop, the plate had to be lowered:confused:. The instructions said i had to modify the skid plate, but didn't specify which one. I have the middle one off now so i'm guessing its that one. Ay chris did you do or know anybody who did the rear shims and did they stop the vibrations? thanks again man.

Ah, Oh. Im pretty sure the bolts you have and the spacer are for the carier bearing drop. Yes, I know many people that have used the shims and the vibs have stopped. The skid plate they may be refering to is the stock black skid, that protects the front diff.

That spacer was for the skid plate I believe. And I didn't modify anything on the skid plate to put it back on. It's pretty thin metal so I just made it conform to my wishes!
