    I get asked alot on how well the OME suspension handels wash board roads. Well, I tried to make a vid on a stretch that is pretty rutted, with some small woops on it. My Buddy and I took his chevy on it as a comparison. He lost control of his truck at around 30 to 35 mph. This vid was taken going between 35 and 50 mph. I dont have a camera mount, so I may have to re do this but useing a mounted camera.

    hey chris you seem to be as close to the man as you can get on this site and very trusted. SO,,, i know you have the OME's whats your best setup? OME shocks and coils up front for a 2.5 to 3'' lift or the 5100s and some other coils ( 885's or others) somewhere I read the 5100's weren't made to be match with anything other than stock coils. your video turned out pretty good. My old chevy hated wasd board roads it would bouce and walk everywhere...

    Personally, I think the best set up is the one Im running. 885 coils up front, with the n140s shocks and TC UCA's. My truck soaks up wash boards fantasticly! :)

    Not Tempe. I did some wheeling at the Salt river, then went up to 4 peaks. the video was 1/2 mile off the turn in to 4 peaks.

    oh ok, ya I wasn't sure, I'm originaly from Flagstaff, AZ but would wheel down there near Mesa/tempe every once and a while, I forget exactly where, but the trails were all somewhat close to lake roosevelt and the surrounding areas. Just remember sliding around on those dry ass washboard roads made me feel like I was in a WRX. Nice vid for not having a mount!

    Yeah, that area has ALOT of good trails. Sometimes I take the M-37 down to Castle Rock and make some extra cash pulling vehicles out of the river. Some of the truly great trails in that area have been blown up by the state because too many people have been hurt. I can still go up them in the M-37, though, but no one else can, so its not too much fun if you cant go as a group. Last time out, after we went over 4 peaks, we were on some fast desert trails, and I was comming around this corner at about 60 mph, when my truk went up on 2 wheels. I turned into it, and it came down (it wasnt that high, maybe a few inches), but I lost control after the "BAM" of the driver side hitting the ground. I spun about 3 times. Parked. And sat on the tail gate until my friends could catch up, and I no longer felt like I was going to shit myself. :D
    I started at the Salt River, just past the Shea and Beeline intersection. Its normally gatted off, but I saw the gate was open, so...well, I went wheeling. I had to jump on the 87 for a while to get to 4 peaks, as I didnt have my GPS with me, and couldnt remember which trails went to where. Once at 4 peaks, I was slowed down by a bunch of SAC Chevys, and a few fords. I even blew by a quad. I went up to the top of 4 peaks, and chilled out there for a while, then begane looking for a place to shoot the phone and the vaccume. Alot of that area is a designated "no shooting" now, and many of the trails are fenced off. Mostly just the smaller trails that go nowhere.
