key fob not with taco

I have a 2006 double cab ted off road tacoma. The guy i bought it from said that he never had a key fob, but i don't believe that. Does anyone know if this year came with a key fob? Especially cause it is the TRD OR.

Also is it compatible with a key fob, how would i go about getting/programming one?

 

that is something you'd buy from the dealer and have them program it, they aren't that bad though i had to replace one on my tundra once it was like 79 including them programming it.

 

they can go in on the computer with your vin and check your options and if you had that option. I would say yes off hand but have them check and then buy the fob while your there.

 

this happened to me as well, all i had to do was take it to the dealer and they programmed it in in no time, i think it was 100 bucks or so. it's been a couple years now...
