Will 305/75r16 Iroks fit on a stock prerunner?
What if I use 5100's to lift the back?

Might have to trim a little but otherwise you're good to go

Search your Owner's Manual! MPG's will be better since there will be excess 'gas' in the cab making it lighter on the road.

I ususlly get around 18 mpg, but I just put a tonneau on so I will see if it goes up. I usually have to fill up every week and a half and I am on a half a tank and and its been over a week. so we'll see.

This one time I added a pinwheel to my antennae and my buttdyno said I gained a good 15 lb/ft of torque. Highly recommended

also, I read somewhere that if you take off the spare from the truck, you won't have a spare anymore. Anyone know why this happens?

now that is something to be proud of.
take some duct tape and tape the back tires together.

I did a highway trip recently and did hit 20mpg, factoring in bigger tires and an odo that is out by 10%. For one stretch (651km), I had the cruise set to about 2050-2100rpm for most of the leg, and the speedo was showing 93-94kph, but with the bigger tires I was doing 100-102kph. I also had 2 slight detours of about 10-15km through 2 small towns and an occasional slow-down (construction, etc). I got 19.6mpg. For the other legs, I got anywhere between 19 and 20mpg.

For the 651km leg, I burned 75L of gas.

    Is yours a 6-speed?

With stock 245 tires on, to do 100kph in 6th, I have to do 2200+rpm for sure. I figured with a V6, Toyota would have geared 6th to run at lower rpm @ 100kph.

There may lie the reason. Also, note that my 265 70r 18's aren't that much taller than yours, only an inch.

my record is 625km to a tank from fillup to gas light +10km. might of stretched it a bit more but i had some stop and go traffic in there

    v6 6 speed with 245/75/16

    thats 388 miles for mericans

in a perfect world if i stayed at 100kph and didnt hit traffic i know i can do 21mpg but alas i drive the 401 every day and as some may know the 401 is a maelstrom of crazy bmw driving bitches and traffic patterns like an ant hill

IF I could get 7% of NO RISK return I would agree. but safe interest rates are too low to hassle with a zero loan. Yeah you could invest in ATT and get 7% but there is some risk of principle value over three years. Too short a holding period.

I don;t disagree with the premise in as much as using those loans in these times of 1.95% SAFE return

I would rather hold the title then earn $263 a year interest before taxes (on a $30,000 loan)......using a No risk 1.95% 3 year CD. If someone has $150K available I see no reason not to just buy the vehicle and pay cash (better yet buy used) Plus If one is debt free has $150K or more accessible...$263 in additional interest before taxes is not worth filling out the paperwork and dealing with loan payments with the possibility of a glitch causing the possible re introduction of back interest not to mention having to fill out a loan app and giving up one's privacy and SS number.

I understand what you are saying though and agree with it in principle if not practicality.

Of course for many here that $263 before taxes would make up for the 2 MPG they are striving for......
