There are some logistical issues involved as well folks. Marines that live in the barracks for instance... Does the military start building separate barracks for gays? The Marine Corps can't afford that. They can't even afford single NCOs BAH own right, even with justifications. They're all being moved back into the barracks to save money. I personally don't have a problem serving with gay people, but the repeal of DADT does bring up some interesting problems other than homophobia - which, as many of you agree, is not an excuse.

Is it because you were that in the biker outfit that I saw at that gay bar? Oh damn.... well guilty as charged I suppose.

Why would they need...what's the danger of inhabiting the same barracks? Does this shit happen in the military too:

The big problem will be the older barracks with the open shower bays. I know that when I was with the 82d Airborne Division, we had a guy in our platoon, good friend of mine tell the command that he was gay. We went to the field the same day, (he didn't go) and when I came back to the company during a supply run I saw him and asked what was up. He didn't tell me, but he was signing out of the Army the next day. He was out processed from the military in less than 5 days because they were afraid of what would happen when the platoon found out he was gay.

I bring up the ship point again. The navy one day was told "women are going with you to sea" we got over it real quick and now its weird to think of life without them.

HAHA good one! But lets be real... Its a simple problem that will easily be fixed... Sure the barracks are filled up but then the E-5's will just get to move out earlier now. Instead of having 2 LCPL's to a four bunk room they will post a 3rd and so on until they get it figured out. If your the guy that gets stuck with a Marine who's boat floats the other way then get over it. If he touches you or anything you are protected by the UCMJ in the same ways a female is protected from unwanted sexual contact from another service member... I don't think this is as big an issue as you guys are making it
