Bumper blues

Put my Elite bumper on today (without winch) and It dropped the ft end 1/4" the stock bumper is 32lb the Elite is 100lb with my light bar and lights,put a smity built 8k winch on that adds another 80lb...............What did you guys do to get your ride height back?????????????

 

i dealt with it... realigned it and went with it... i didnt want top make my cv angles any worse. it made them better

 

Stiffer springs. 883's maybe.

 

882 are stronger then 883

 

my elite and winch didnt do a thing to my toytec ultimate i thought it would so know i have to crank the coilovers down

 

Oh didn't notice the 882's.

 

When I put the OME kit on with the 882 they sagged alittle over a 1/4" so I put a 1/4" spacer from toytec in and its been fine,toytec has a 1/2 spacer has anyone did this????????????

 

I would say thats a good plan... you would just have to deal with the sag from the weight of the winch then

 

Im thinking of just putting the stock bumper back on.

its a 1/4'' kinda negligible IMO. Not worth taking the bumper off.

 

The only reason I put the bumper on was for the winch and I really dont want to screw with my setup,if 68lbs droped it a 1/4" the 88lb winch is going to kill it and will the 882 keep sagging????

 

oh, I misread. I thought you already put on the winch...my bad. Maybe sell the elite bumper and buy a tube bumper? Then again, with the winch you may be only sagging 1/2-3/4'' Maybe just see if it makes a noticeable difference?

 

my Eibach 5100 handles it nicely

 

Ill be running Nitrochargers w/882's & the 10mm Trim packer. Hopefully i'll fit 33's.

If mine still sags ill be dealing with it until I save enought to get ICON's

 

620. I just have an Elite bumper in the front. Not sure how it will handle the winch if/when I get one

 

One thing you can do is get rid of that wire rope and go with a synthetic line. Its safer and will weigh about 25# less.

I had a net gain of 130# over stock. That's with the Elite bumper and winch. My XRC8 only weighed 60# with synthetic rope. I've also added BudBuilt skids, neat gain of another 100#.

The SAWs with 650# Eibach coils are handling the weight pretty good.
