    Looking to buy
    Hey Tacoma World,

I am currently looking to buy a Tacoma after the first of the year and was wondering if there are any Houston Area Dealerships that are better than the next. Just trying to get the best for my money and don't want to get screwed around. Any information would be greatly appreciated!

I currently have a Burnt Orange 2000 Quad Cab Dodge Dakota 3.9 V6 , time for something new!

I didn't buy mine in Houston, or I would help out some. What truck package are you looking to get? Not that it will help I was just wondering.

Sterling mccall was pretty easy. If you get the warranty, don't pay anything over $950. I refused the warranty until they offered it for that price. It can be done.

Well, I'm currently looking for the Double Cab v6 auto havn't decided on 4wd or 2wd. Really like the Pyrite color. I've browsed the dealerships and that seems to be a rare color to find. I just don't want to pay out the wahoo and of course want to get my payments down as low as I can.

Pyrite is quite rare, most likely would have to order one to your liking. Go with a 4wd, even if u think u don't need it.

Yeah, I will most likelly do that. I live 20 minutes from Matagorda Beach, I'm always afraid my dakota will get stuck so I don't drive where I would like to drive. Never know when the 4wd will come in handy.

Shit........4wd will get you stuck too, but not as often. I bought mine from Don Mcgil and I talked directly with the Internet Fleet Manager and he found exactly what I wanted.

True that, I've seen plenty 4wd get stuck at the beach. Plus, I want to get something new so when my son gets old enough to drive he will have a nice truck.

I'm in the same boat. My needs are very specific: White, DC, 4x4, V6, Manual, SR5, Tow. Is it better to talk to the internet manager and have them find one, or try to talk them into a special order? I won't be ready to buy until after the new year, but if I have to special order and wait 6 months, obviously don't want to be waiting until June for my truck...

Well you need to email Fred haas, champion, sterling McCall, and don McGill to get an e-price. Get the best price and tell the closest dealer to BEAT the price, don't just match it.

yes, I will definitely pit the dealers against each other in a no-holds-barred battle royal to the death. That goes without saying.

I've heard otherwise. Their parts dept is good though.
