Yea I got them from Chris. He never had them on his truck. They had the tires mounted on them that he wanted so the wheels came with them. They just barely hit the caliper and without a spacer to clear the caliper, I only have 3/8" grab on the threads which I don't feel comfortable with. I found 1/4" spacers and I can get the studs for $3 each and make everything work.

Any thoughts from anyone on the issue of aluminum rims with corrosion and whatnot on our roads?

Chris gave me a good price on them which I think I can get that back if I resell them so I'm not too concerned with it. The only thing I'll really be out is the cost of having them swapped out.

I'm attempting to do some research on if the AAL and cranking up the 5100's will give me vibration and alignment issues with the regular cab.

Uhhhh, isn't half the point of alloys is that they are better against corrosion/rust than steelies?? The other half being weight.

That's what I've been researching to figure out. It was always my understanding that aluminum doesn't rust so it was better with harsh conditions. Now I'm reading about it corroding. Does anyone have the correct answer on this? The wheels look awesome on the truck and with the 4 banger I have much more pep. Just don't want to re-work everything and then have a problem in the near future.

If you get aluminum rims, make sure they have some finish on them and aren't bare metal. If they are bare metal, you'll be spending a lot of time cleaning and polishing them.
