Trading for a rig with higher miles without any cash on top doesn't sound like a great deal to me.

Sounds pretty good. The higher mileage might be something to think about, but you are getting 4wheel drive.. up to you.

Yea i was thinking 2-3 grand on top would help things. Going to see how much he is willing to do. mileage and general differances maybe 3 grand wont be too much to ask.

Just curious: how much did you have your truck listed for?

    neglect, mostly.
why do you hate your truck?

and something else OP you can use, (though they will disagree strongly) aftermarket "by the book" does not add value. but i still think it would be hard for you to get some dough on top of it, since it's obvious the owner has put a lot of time and money into it. the most important factor i think would be do you use your bed often and do you need four wheel drive?

I wouldn't, but I need a bed. If you decide on trading, definately ask for some cash along with the trade. If he says no, I'd thank him for his time and walk away.

i dont think you would get 24 for your truck to be fare i dont think you get 22 you would most likely end up getting about 20 or less for it.oh and the fj i bet would end up selling for more like 19 or 18. the only way you get that much for ether is if you found someone who wanted it badly enough . all in all its a good deal if you like the fj. Just make sure you take it to a trusted shop and have it looked over first. I have had many friends buy used and get unfriendly and costly repair bills cause they did not get the car check out be for buying.

That's a nice looking FJ...If you don't need a truck (bed) and you like the FJ, go for it!

    Good luck.

I wouldn't. The Fj has 30k more miles and is a year older...but I am biased since I don't really care for the FJC's all that much

I use my bed but nothing I couldn't do with my trailer. I'd like the fj, guess that's biggest thing.

You can trade if money is owed, and is, if value of new vehicle covers what you owe cause it will be loan collateral.

He would have to put cash up. Right, add ons don't add value unless you like them. In this case don't mean much to me but I'd push for them not adding worth.

My truck is listed for 23,500. It's competitively priced for my area. I know some on here say that's high but I've already been offered 22,000 just holding out since hasn't been for sale long. There are same truck more miles that sell on lots for 24's.

And I have no beef with my truck. Love it. I've just been trying to sell it to get out of debt. This wouldn't help much but has got me interested because I like fj's.

I'm not a fan of the FJ either. 2 of my buddies have em and i've driven them. I HATE IT!!! feels like im in a coffin. I'm claustrophobic as fuck and the blind spots in these are unreal.
