yep they replaced the trusty tried and true 4.7 in 09 I think for the 4.6, the 4.6 has 310 HP and 327 pound feet of torque

If you get a tundra get the 5.7. I have heard that it gets better mpg due to the motor not working as hard to move the truck.
I personally like the chevy mainly due to the styling. Also my cousin has a z71 and gets about the same mpg as my taco.

I love the 5.7. they are fast as hell. my Dad has an 08 Sequoia with the 5.7 and if you shift it just right in manual mode you can chirp the tires going into second gear :burnrubber:

I test drove a 4.6 2wd double cab yesterday and it seemed to move it nicely. i mean it aint no 381 horse 5.7. But it will be cheaper to get the 4.6 and honestly i would not need a 5.7. If i find one for the right price ill get it ;)

I prefer the sierra looks over the silverado but they are technically the same truck lol. I could probably get a better deal on sierra compared to a Tundra but im holding out for a tundra

    ah Blake, what is up.

How am I fucking up? Ive driven a 5.7 V8 many many times, i drive like a mad man when behind the wheel of the 5.7, paying for the gas would be nuts!

I wont be towing 10,400 pounds anytime soon, I dont haul much heavy stuff.

Yes I would love to get a 5.7 really badly, but the price of the truck will be cheaper with the 4.6

I agree with ya, the 5.7 is crazy awesome, but who knows, i may find a 4x4 tundra for the right price with the 5.7.

But still the 4.6 can tow 8200 pounds, and the most my trucks ever tow'd was a Tiga wakeboard boat and some jet skis, and that was with the previous owner and the most ive tow'd was 2 4wheelers on this giant ass trailer

Its not that bad, I love the 4.0s, but I love them 100x more when they are in the Tacoma, but they do now put the dual VVT-i 270 hp 4.0s in the tundras now so it wont be too sluggish.

I still do have plans, but I've also had plans to get a boat for the last 4 year and that hasn't happened either :(

I ran out of Blue LED's. I am ordering a butt load of blue and white. When they come in I am going to finish the radio in Blue. That's why it's still Red. I counted the LED's in the radio and it takes 58. Just did my wifes RAV4 dash I am going to hit her radio too.:D
