Loving the 2012. Just traded in my wifes 2006 and picked up a Super White PreRunner for her.

The fronts really growing on me. Headlights look "meaner" at night.

Haha yup that's it. I saw you posted that, showed it to my wife and she was 100% completely against white. Until she saw it in person.

Works for me, I am the one who always has to wash it anyways.

New tires/wheels tomorrow :D Swapping these off the 06' since we just bought them.

I've been emailing the Denver area Toyota dealers and asking when the 2012's will be coming in. They're all saying the 2012's will be on the lots around Oct. 1st or so. Can't wait to get a look first hand.

First new car and first Toyota I've owned. Figured if I was buying new, I'd get what I want, so they had to order it. Salesman said between 26 Sept and 3 Oct but "it's complete and awaiting shipment at the port." Hope that means she's on a boat as we speak!

2012 Magnetic Grey Double Cab A/T
    TRD Off Road
    TX-Pro
    Black Tube Steps
    Entune
    Skid Plates
    V6 Tow Package

    Questions:

    1) Anyone able to convince the dealer to swap the stock crap tires for better? Think I'll be ordering some 265/75-16 BFG KM2s

    2) How good are the factory skid plates? Not going hardcore but when I'm going down a fire road and hit the first stump, will I need new plates?

    3) Anyone want to trade a flat hood for a scoop? :D

XJ: How long was it between the time you made the deal with the dealer and when they could give you information about the build date? I signed all the paperwork yesterday and am wondering how long I should wait before I pester the dealer about dates.

    Thanks.

They said 45-90 days, but I got a call Tuesday saying as early as Monday. From when I walked out the door to Tuesday was 2 weeks and a day.

Pretty sure he meant the rear looks higher than the previous years' US models

I think someone already mentioned in this thread that when they saw the '12s in person it was still just the three leaf pack. What an idiot move on Toyotas part. The truck looks pretty level especially in the showroom pic which makes me think that it still has the three leaf pack as with the four the truck is pretty raked in the rear.

Just tell them what you want and have them do a locate. Unless it is something that Toyota does not normally build, they can trade another dealer or pull an incoming vehicle. My dealer pulled mine from the port and it arrives tomorrow.

Unless you've got Black Sand Pearl and other discontinued colors. Would the wiring be easy to set up?
