I'm also looking at getting a SC. I'm all for better performance on the 2TR-FE.

    Watch this.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G2KuGNghOjw&list=FLGbEFvVf5vpNYDm8hCeXZDg&index=172

At 1:20 there are some concerns. Removing braces...piping going under the frame...don't hit something in the road.

I'm looking into the URD one now. It should also be concidered. Look at them both and make a good decision.

    X2

A guy I work with put a Rotrex on his Mustang. At idle or legal limit highway speeds the SC isn't being utilized really.

if you looked at the install you'd not want to buy it. URD is the way to go to supercharge the 2TR.

Yeah. That's one reason I linked to it on Youtube - people could see the install then.

I'd hate to be going down the highway, the car in front of me swerve to avoid something that's just fallen off the back of a truck, I don't have enough time to, and BAM!!!! The pipe is hit, and I'm on the side of the road needing a major repair. :bananadead:

If you have a Taco in South Africa, it's probably the way to go. For mine I'm leaning towards the URD.

URD is the only one you want! Even the guy on here with the alpine supercharger is trying to sell his to get the urd one! I would strongly advise reading through the link above for the urd supercharger before making your decision on the alpine one! Between making much better dyno numbers, the fact that the kit is specifically designed for the truck and offroading purposes, the quality of the build itself and URD being a very reputable company, idk how the fuck you even consider the alpine one! My advice is to just do a little research on both and you can decide for yourself!

    URD dyno numbers

Don't buy it. Its horrible. I still haven't installed it. Don't have the time, space or another vehicle to custom fabricate new brackets and piping. The only things that will fit correctly is the charger, charger bracket, and the pipes directly to the connected to the motor. Anything else won't work because it was meant for a Helix. I spoke to John, who pasted away and he told me that it was close enough. I'm a goddamn mechanic by trade and its not close enough. The video above shows how the charge pipes run under the car. NO, its not suppose to be that way. I bought this thing as a quick bolt on. It was advertised as a bolt on but its not. It was made for this motor yes but not this frame. Now that John as passed, I get NO answer from tech. support, or from sale when I inquired about a return.

DO NOT BUY THIS KIT. IF YOU WANT IT, PM ME. I'LL BE HAPPY TO SELL YOU MINE!

Just a heads up, a 61% increase would 254.4HP. Our engines currently have 159HP. It is more like a 32% increase ;)
