    Hey guys,
Ive been stalking this forum for a while trying to learn and ive learned alot. I want to buy a new tacoma. I saw a 2011 4x4 silver crew cab. Offroad package and 6 spd manual. He said invoice was 31500 and he said he would only be making about 200 on this deal. The otd price was 34300. This sounds kind of high to me. I am in Tucson and called a Phoenix dealer. There are no manual transmission tacomas here in tucson. If anyone can give me their opinion that would be great.

I can qualify for the new college graduate deal so i plan on financing through them...

    hmm that seems really high,

i got 4X4 DC TRD sport mgm for 28,xxx OTD.
we used online quotes because they were about 3 or 4k cheaper than what the dealer was saying they could do. try and look up online quotes for the dealer your looking at.

34,300, seems a little high. I'm not sure what your tax rate is over there but where I live its 6.25 %. When I was looking at a 2010 DC TRD 4x4, I had them down to $29,000 plus tttl. so it was around 31k or so OTD. Don't let em fool ya with invoice, they are still making money even if they sell it to ya at invoice. They actually own the vehicle for less than invoice (a term called holdback). Depending on markup, they may actually own it for 500-1000 less than invoice. Just a thought.

Way to high.... Your are almost at the end of the year so they should be trying to get rid of the 2011 before the 2012's come in. I bought pretty much mine for 26.9 OTD... You can do better, shop around and make sure you tell the salesman you are doing so. I'm sure the price will drop immediately.

Play one dealer against the other. Tell them whoever comes up with the best deal gets the sale. I bought mine that way and got it for 2500 off msrp.

It's an 89 Toyota Pickup. I got some stuff done to it.. FJ axles going under it soon.
Nay, I'd pay like 5 bucks for a 2nd gen.

Kidding..I'd shop around..it might be worth the drive to go get one 6 hours away..doesn't sound like it but if you save 8 grand..does it sound like that now?

He's blowing smoke up your ass. Dealer's won't agree to a sale unless they are making a healthy profit.

Wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too high for an '11, espeically with the '12s already rolling out of showrooms. Pull $7k off that and you're in the ballpark.
