MOTHERF****R, I had a set of tires mounted up on my STi at Les Schwab and they scratched all but one of the rims down to the paint. I hate that place. Especially the two in Corvallis.

Yeah, if I could do tires myself I would do it in a heartbeat. Its one of those things that looks so simple if you're gentle and take your time. But these guys are used to working on trucks and ford focus' where the old person driving them doesn't even notice the new hole in their fender from the torque wrench they accidentically smashed into the side of your car.

I had the Discount... er America's Tire on 185th just below Cornell Rd do my tires... and they didn't fuck anything up on the truck. Actually they got the wrong lugs and gave me the correct set for free, plus price matched tirerack for me on the KM2's.

Yeah. Les Schwab is for old people who don't know shit pretty much. I should know better. I've had positive experiences with the Firestone store in Corvallis. But their mounting price was more expensive. At least I thought so.

Turns out les schwab's "winter changeover" pricing only applies to ONLY "winter" tires that were purchased at Les Schwab. Did they ask me if I bought the tires at Les Schwab before quoting me that price? No. Did they treat me like I was stealing from them for the rest of the service? Absolutely yes. And then they fucked my perfect 7 year old BBS rims in the process.

Damn that sucks man. Are your BBS's powdercoated? Maybe you can force them to cut in halves on a new coat or something... such bullshit though.

Oh they're going to fix them. I made sure to inspect them immediately because I noticed the dumb shit kids in the garage beating the hell out of my sidewalls trying to get the bead to unseat. (Turns out the RE070 Potenzas I had are run flats since the sidewalls are so stiff)

The manager was an asshole about it but they have a real legit guy come up and fix rims on occasion. I'll be speaking with them next week about it.

And the wheels are painted. I would hope powdercoat would have held up better.
