I lost track thousands of dollars ago.

Yeah I'm going to have to agree with jandrews & theduck911 the Avid bolt on's are not sliders they are step bars and will not protect your truck on a hard hit. If you go with Avid get weld on's unless they redesign there bolt on's .

My nerf bars have been holding up fine for what I do also but they're a long way from sliders... Drop the weight of the truck down on those things or do the hi lift test and you'll see the difference.

Yep, it's settled. I'm going bolt-on. Now its a matter of price+shipping. Shipping kills on these things, unless I can find an experienced fabricator within driving distance.

Good to hear all these experiences shared. TW is so cool.

+1 for Demello bolt on sliders. They've saved my ass a few times and have protected my truck as I've dragged it across rocks. I'm a big fan. Also, I've got pics of them pre-installation (somewhere) if you want to see them.

Now how about all you bolt on boys....take some pics of how they're mounted, how far they stick out, how many holes to drill, and to finish it off, a few of the truck hi-lifted or sitting on a rock. Now that would be coolness to see!!

I just realized I have no pics of the actual mounting points to the frame uploaded anywhere. Its hard to see now because of the undercoating and dirt. I'll see if I have any older pics on my computer

    PSU.
Thanks for those pics. The CBIs look nice. Any fitments problems at all, you know like holes not lining up properly? The pics look great. Eh, about your wheels BTW. Are those MT Classic Locks or II? Love that color matched bead lock ring. Very cool!!! Maybe I'll get those except I'm not sure how a super white color matched ring would look. Hmm

    Dwreck.
Clean looking fab work and welds. How many of these have you made thus far? Care to make a set for moi?

Anyone have any experience with the bolt ons from Slee Offroad?

    http://www.sleeoffroad.com/products/tacoma07_sliders.htm

I have always liked the looks of them (from their photo's) and think they would be OK for non-hardcore offroading.
    They are expensive though.........
