    Oh,

On the blackberry. I learned a trick for a frozen blackberry, You don't always have to do the battery pull.

Just do Left Alt + Right Caps + DEL and it does the same thing. If that doesn't work then yeah go do the battery pull.

It sends phantom texts. It will randomly re-send texts that were sent hours ago. Not any pattern either, random text here, then another from maybe a couple hours later. Really confuses friends when they're getting random texts at 3am that make no sense lol. At first I thought some texts for some reason weren't sending and then they were just finally sending but I confirmed that people had received the text the first time it was sent. I did a reset for now to see if it starts doing it again.

Other than an ipod I've never had anything else Apple and try to avoid it. Not so much a hate for the product itself as it is a hate of the philosophy of the company.

I don't really know anything about this rooting stuff.

Really beginning to hate my droid x... thrown the thing across the room several times. The phones a pos, but android seems great. My battery life if about 12hours with it and it freezes over basic stuff at least 2-3 times a day. Stuff like switching between internet browser and text messaging. Click the text icon and it freezes til a couple minutes late it restarts.

Ah, okay "rooting" is the Android equivalent of Jailbreaking for the iPhone.

However unlike the iPhone, there isn't one universal tool that works for almost all models. Last I looked there wasn't a root available for that Droid, you could load custom firmware on there from Cyanogenmod, but that voids the warranty and it's not easy for some phones.

I guess i should clarify, 12 is if im lucky. Sometimes it's like 7hrs, and i have one of the 3500mah extended batteries in it too. I already have an app killer that runs, and its rooted as well. No custom rom though. If you've got any advice, id be happy to hear. Pm welcome so i don't detail this thread.

Sorry I didn't PM, but it is a common mistake for people to run Task Killer's on Android software 2.2 or later (I have even heard Verizon employees recommending it). 2.1 and earlier need the Task Killer, if your software is a later version, it is most likely causing problems.

ANd what's wrong with that? If it's not broken don't fix it right?

I pretty much loath anything apple. I shunned this damn phone since the day it came out. I waited and waited for something decent to come out and nothing ever did.

I came to the hard realization that the iPhone was the single best package (hardware and software together) on the phone market...period. I don't think anything even comes close. This unfortunately lead to me buying one back in April.

There's nothing this phone can't do. If you think the phone has limitations you probably haven't owned one or played with one that's been jailbroken.

I think that is most people's gripe with the Iphone. It is limited out of the box. Android is not. I am not going to try and jailbreak a phone every time a new software update comes along (no thanks). And let's be honest, LTE is 10 times faster than 3g, which the Iphone hasn't adopted yet. So, there are much better packages out there. I am not an apple hater, this is being posted from a Macbook Pro.

Had a Blackberry went to Android, HTC Desire, regretted it ever since. I'm on my 3rd now the first time I was in Charleston and got tired of my gf calling me, we were fighting, so I threw it as far into the ocean as I could. Second time I got pissed at my sis because she kept calling me acting like she was my mom telling me I need to straighten up my life, and all other kinds of bs so I threw it up against a wooden wall in a horse stable bounced off the wall into a pile of horse crap.

I jailbroke my phone in May and haven't had to touch anything regarding the OS on it since then. And it runs flawlessly. That's one thing I'll say about the iPhone....it just works, always.

I agree that 3G needs to be left in the dust but for now it's doing just fine for me. I honestly can't complain.

One thing I will say is that I simply HATE....with a PASSION....using iTunes to load up the phone with stuff.

Old hard drive dies, I put a new one in, load up my system image...plug in phone to add a few songs to it.

"iPhone is synced with another computer. Would you like to delete all your shit and sync to this computer?"

    Fuck no I don't! Oh wait...I don't have a choice do I...shiiiiiiiit

Every time I hook up to my new computer it askes "This comp is not a athurized computer would you like to aurthurize it?" and I do it then sync it and it won't let me play any of my songs and won't sync any new song to it.
