Afe filter

Bought a newer 2009 TRD 4.0 ext cab, what would be better, an afe pro dry filter, or a cold air intake by afe? I'm wanting a gas mileage improvement, she seems way thirstier than my 97 tacoma. I understand that gas mileage won't be perfect but a slight improvement would be nice.

 

Neither could be expected to provide any improvement in gas mileage.

 

the drop in filter will get you more results than the "CAI". Those are basically just for sound

 

+1 .. neither. Can't increase mileage anyway by installing "performance" parts. Performance means more fuel.

Do a search for CAI's. Not worth the money considering Toyota already built the 2nd Gen with an intake that pulls from under the fender well anyway. AFE ProDry is good if you simply want a better filter and not have to change it all the time as well.
