06Taco Sport Lift suggestions

Hey all,

I'm looking to put a couple more inches between me and the ground when I get back from Iraq and I'm looking for suggestions. I'm not going to be rock crawling in it, but the desert and mountain areas around Vegas (Valley of Fire, Panamint Valley, Death Valley, Sheep MT and Spring MT ranges are calling my name!)

I'm looking to get 2.5-3 inches of lift, nothing serious. Hoping to borrow from someone elses experience on brands/products out there. I'm no mechanic, but I am handy enough to do most things myself, so doing it myself or getting it done isn't really an issue.

Also, if I wanted to, say, add some 33"s on my 17" stock rims, would it require much, if any, modification to the fender wells. I'm not able to look at my Taco to figure it out.

Look for the OME lift stuff. It's good.

33's will fit, but you'll need wheel spacers to clear the UCA. Some trimming will be required of the inner fender (easy with a dremel and not that big of a deal).

I've got some time to make a decision...
One caveat is that I'd like to do it without breaking the bank. I'm not doing any serious off-roading so I don't want to go all out and not use it.

 

Bilstein 5100's and Spidertrax wheel spacers should due the trick for ya man.

i put on a daystar leveling kit it was like 2.5 in the front and 1.5 in the back i have 285 on 17" rim it looks good i think... and the stock rim does not have enough off set for a bigger tire either get a rim that has more off set or spacers..

 

Like the other guys have said, look at the stuff from toytec, the Bilstein 5100's at 2.5" would be good and you'll need some wheel spacers to fit 33's if you want the stock rims.

 

The OME stuff is a good fit for your wallet...
