That doesn't look that bad now that the chrome is off. Still too busy for me, but it looks way better.

what material is the "hubcap" made of?
I wasn't able to take off the hubcap, so I couldn't give you a completely accurate answer, but I would guess some kind of plastic..

does the centercap fit the wheel without it?
See above.. When I get the chance, I'd like to see if the center cap will fit without the hub cap..

can ya take the chrome off the centercap?
See above.. I really want to take off the chrome on the center cap too... but I'll keep everyone posted as soon as I get a chance to take apart the wheel and see whats really going on there...

right on man looks good in that color. in white it looks a little odd.
still no back lighting for the 4x4........when will they learn.

maybe someone from Toyota needs to join TW and read a few threads.

As far as the functions disabled when in motion this was a big thing with the guys over on t4r.org. I dont think there is a fix for it though, but you can look.

I like the new front after seeing it at the dealership today. It was a MGM double cab long bed SR5 and it had the 4-leaf spring pack. Do you guys with the new truck have that?

Most manufacturers are doing the same thing....they figure the general public would never know but us truck enthusiast notice all the small intricate details...at least i do :)

If you notice in the wording they call them "Chrome Clad Wheels." I mean obviously they wont make an entire wheel out of cobalt chrome, but seriously, plastic covers? That is an insult to every toyota customer if you ask me. They keep cutting more and more corners...

LT1 the truck still looks sick! I cant wait to seriously start shopping for my 2012. Just a few more months...

Took mine camping this weekend-Loving the ride. Nav/Entune isn't intuitive and I need to go through the manual to get all of the details locked down. As others have indicated, it does have the 4-leaf pack.

First complaint though-Had my son's DVD player (pulling 2.2A) in one accesory slot and my cell phone charger in the other (?A) and it blew a 15A fuse. It was an easy fix and I haven't tried to replicate it yet, but I'm hoping it was a short in one of power cords and not a problem with the vehicle. I'll advise if it happens again.

I would have liked to take my '12 camping next weekend too... but the dealership ordered the wrong truck! :annoyed:

Now I have to wait until the end of October.... They better give me some KM2's and a good deal, thats BS...

This happened to my dad almost twenty years ago when he ordered his F150 from the dealership - instead of ordering his exactly how he wanted it they just looked at the allocation list and saw a very similar one was coming in around the same time it would have taken to build and send my dad's order. Needless to say when it came in and they tried to pawn it off as the one my dad ordered he flipped out on them. Ended up getting a big discount because he saw right through the ruse and raised a hellstorm.

You guys are talking like getting an upgraded wheel package from the factory/dealer was a good idea to begin with. Aftermarket is the way to go.

Does it ride much rougher than the 3 leaf springs?

They must have started to put the 4 leaf pack on the '11's late in the year. Out of curiosity, just went to look at mine...built July '11...has 4 leafs.

The sport "upgrade" wheels are actually pretty cool - except for the chrome cover. I like the design. And If I had my choice of any wheel in the world it would be the FJ TRD wheels (i think this color is for a special edition):

So factory wheels can look good. Just not with chrome-covered plastic hubcaps on them...
