is this a good buy? and how hard is it to install?

Make sure they got the wire to go w/it.

Install is as easy as plugging in a USB. Everything after that is self explanitory...

Got mine for like $149 shipped, or something like that..

You can get away with that. Maybe get a new copy from the company for the cost of shipping.

I just use mine for, MPG, Intake temp, and the new ScanGuage X-Guage mod which there is a link to somewhere on this site...

Other than that it's just another scan tool. Oh, and comes in handy to clear CEL's...

89 is still good. I would only go with scan gauge. Got One like I said earlier, but the wife is using it for her trailblazer cause her clusster is shot. So in stead of spending 400 + for a new one, the Scan Gauge puts out all the info she needs, most importantly MPH.

I need another one, cause she thows a fit when I steal it to test out my Mods, LOL

If it goes over $100, try to find a good deal new. Even at the list price it is well worth your money. Unless you have other needed Mods to do of coarse..

Dude it is all good, no need to apologize. I just thought you might find them useful. I search a lot and still miss stuff from time to time.

 

Yeah she needs it more than me. I only need it to check shit out when I mod. Intakes, headers, etc...

I got mine from a group buy, saved enough cash to get the 2nd wire harness free.

But if you want a quick way to save gas this will do it. It allows you to monitor your driving habits.
