Whats everyone up to today besides school?

Derek how do you like the drive from San Diego - Portland? Not bad huh? J/K I hated it!!

It took me about 18 hrs from Oceanside - Beaverton with my daughter(stopped to eat and let her stretch) and back.

It took me about a day when I was towing with a U-Haul trailer(6x12) last December when I moved back up here..stayed at a trucking station and slept for about 4-5 hrs there.

 

This is exactly what I did.


Except I actually liked the drive, for the most part. Central California sucks big time but once you hit Redding the rest of the drive isn't bad.


I left at about 12:45PM and stopped at the Weed, CA rest station at about 12:45AM. So 12 hours the first day. Woke up around 6:30AM and got into Portland at around 1:30PM.


The next time I come up (10/09), I'll be towing a 6x12 UHaul trailer as well. Should be interesting going through the mountains.

 

I used to drive from Pullman, WA to Seal Beach ever year. It's a long drive, but as long as you have a butt load of sunflower seeds and enough music to not replay anything, you can do it by yourself.

 

What do you guys think? I was bored today so I figured I would see what it looked like. I haven't fully decided on it yet. It's just plasti-dip so if I don't like it I can peel it off.

 

Kinda looks like the budget level Tacoma or something with the black plastic grille

 

The STi wants to be able to play in the dirt and snow. So I picked up some crazy flaps

 

Hey guys I was wondering if anyone had uniball UCA's. If so how much did installation cost you?
Also its about a 3 hour job?

I'm not a fan of the lower valence but hey..it's your truck! And if you want..paint the Toyota emblem in the center of your grille also. Just my opinion

Nice man. Are you going to take off the emblems on the trunk and just leave the STI?

I got it but I had two of my buddies install them when I was still living in socal and they installed my UCA, Coilovers, rear shocks and AAL so I wouldn't be able to give you an estimated time =/

x2 on the magnet..that's what I did as well.

 

Probably not. Since it's an older car the paint is likely faded oddly underneath. Plus its just a little too typical to remove it.

 

Finally got internet back... and now it's back to work!

 

Cool well I'm getting my ucas on tomorrow!

 

I thought about doing that, but I just decided to slap it on my bumper and call it a day.

Is there anywhere to get an ATV permit on the west side? I've gotten on before at Wholesale Sports at JCB and 82nd.

Hmmm try accessory outfitters out here in beaverton off of tv hwy and 185th..that's where I got my permit.
