I wouldn't blame your tires. Once you learned how to drive out there you did okay. And I don't know who told you to air down your fronts but Jeremy and I told you a thousand times it was just going to make it worse. You probably wouldn't have gotten stuck that last time had you listened to us

I told him to air down the fronts. I don't know how you guys think leaving the front tires aired up on a 2 wheel drive was supposed to help?

Just goes against my prior 10 years driving @ pismo / glamis / dumont, that's all.

Airing down the fronts make it nearly impossible to turn and just creates more work for your rears since it has to push the fronts through the sand.

If you really think having a wider tire in front on a 2wd is better, you better tell the sand rail guys they are doing it wrong

Please don't go there a rail and a truck 2 very different animals. Truck is way heaver in front that's why u air down the fronts to help float and yes you still can make a turn fine.

Edit: Trust me its not my opinion its a fact

Its still the same concept. A skinnier tire in front will steer better

Hauling ass over 80 mph through the woops will test the weak spots on your truck quite well. I like to think of it as discovery. I'm just finding the weak points and preppping my truck.
The CV's were my fault. I tried out some new clamps...they ended up cutting the boots instead of keeping them attached.

And what air pressure do you think the skinny tires rails use are running? I'll tell you it's not 35 psi. Sorry dude...you're wrong. If you don't air down the front, they don't float.

look at the engine placement on a sand rail and compare it to your truck. Then you will under stand why NEED the skinny tires to make any kind of turn.
