    Thanks. My sister works at academy and got me 20% off :D

    Tonight my dad is gonna come over and help me drill some holes in the garage floor and secure it. then Ill get my dehumidifier rod hooked up and load up all my G&A in it.
    It has a place for a USB port and a ethernet cable in it. Anyone know what those are for?

    If you have a network drive for storing your important money laundring files and you want it locked up so no one can get it :D

    The USB is probably for the same thing.

    If you had a PC close by and wanted to put a USB powered external drive in there to protect your files.

    YOu would have a fire proof/theft proof spot to backup and store all your data.

    Suppressors are used by more than door kickers. That's why they even offer them for .50 BMG :)

    Cabela's seems to have some nice safes for a good price. I think they are actually cannons too. What I would look for in a safe is capacity and fire rating. I personally don't care about all of the bells and whistles of some of the more expensive safes. They build some really pretty ones but in reality you should place it somewhere out of site so you aren't advertising that you have valuables.

    I got mine at academy and it was priced at $600. Its fire rated at 1200 degrees for 30 mins. has an auto relocker, built in 110v outlets and can hold 25 guns. I wanted this one so I can store my ammo in it as well. I doubt Ill ever own 25 guns at one time

    http://www.academy.com/webapp/wcs/s...1_321851_-1?N=933739036&Ntt=gun+safes&Ntk=All

    this too. I had to put mine in the garage due to no space in the house. I plan on building a faux wall on one side of it to hide it from the street whenever my garage is open.

    I purchased a Walmart cheap-o gun safe. Stores 5 long guns, and has a tiny little shelf for ammo. It has a key-lock.

    I guess it'll keep the kids from getting in there (provided they don't find the key), but other than that, its worthless. I should have got one with a combo/digital lock, one with much more storage, including handgun storage and ammo.

    It fits in my closet nicely, however.

    BOLD = BS :D

    I said that once too, when I owned 2 guns

    My safe cost double what that cannon did, and has triple the fire protection...i did have to install my own lights, but 30 minutes and $10 at Lowes solved that problem

    Oh and mine has a nice soft interior and not the normal industrial grade carpet that most safes seem to come with
