I really like the new look of the 2012 tacoma. I was asking my local dealer when he's getting them in & he didn't know. My question to you is if I bought the front bumper, grill & head lights do you think it will match up with my 06? I know it would be little expensive to do the switch, but its better then buying a new truck. Do you think it is possible to put the new front look on a older truck?

Sounds Possible. Nothing really changed with it to start with. I say go for it.

It looks like the headlights are a different shape, which means that the front fenders are different shape to match. Might want to do a side by side comparison before you go ahead with it.

I think the cost to do it to look OEM will be VERY expensive ... especially matching the present 5 y/o paint or even repainting the entire truck (to match) may be necessary.

And what will this "Hybrid Mod" do to your "Stock OEM Resale Value" ?

I definitely have to do a side by side comparison. But if it means new fenders & hood, that will be to pricey.

Yeah it appear to be possible not much have change on these Tacoma. I wouldn't mind changing mine to look like an '11. It just headlights front grille and rear led tail lights.

I think you'd have to replace every panel from the A column forward, including the hood. Which sounds expensive unless you found a wrecked 2012 with an untouched front end (not likely right now ;))

Let us know if you go ahead with a project like this, I'm sure everyone would love a step-by-step!

I think your truck looks "too badass" for you change it to a new stock look. Don't do it!

Front bumper, grill, headlights n hood are different...fenders seem to have stayed the same as you see the side corner of the headlight all the way down looks the same.
