So I'm having issues with the Solenoid pack. Fucker is getting in the way of the install, and even if I could install it there, it would be a nightmare to put the line in if I wanted to use it.

Thus I'm forced to move it. How? I've looked at the extension kit which seems to be my only option, but it's another $60.00 not including shipping from the States. Has anyone done this without using the extension kit? Or making one themselves?

Otherwise the only thing I can think of is taking the end of the winch off and rotating it 90ishº. I'm not even sure I can with that side of the winch. (I did with the clutch side, which was pointless because the clutch handle knocks against everything if you try to put it in a more friendly place thus negating the purpose of moving it in the first place!)

BTW - Getting your thumb stuck between your ARB and an 85lb winch will in fact take skin off as if you tried cuddling a razor on the end of a dremel.

You'll have to buy some wire, probably a heavier gauge than the stock wires from the solenoid to the winch. Just extend them and put it on the bumper or in your engine bay. Then extend the controller plug wires or leave it on the box. I'd suggest solder on connections and heat shrink.

A propane torch and some solder should do. Tin the wire. Stick it in the connections and then feed in solder while you heat it. Make sure you slip heat shrink behind it all and then just pull it up, a little heat and you'll have longer lines.

Crimp on connections and heat shrink would work too.

Any industrial supply or maybe welding company should have the wire.
