Holy F#@ning crap on the repost of those stupid Kicker 15" speakers in a sealed box, they are 500w RMS each people. This speaker alone is 1000w RMS and is probably louder than all 3 of those 15"s by itself. If it isn't I have a second one. 12" by the way.

The glasses were my friend's, who was helping me load the box into the cab, and I recently removed all the beads and stickers.. looks all clean now :D.

They are low power, but they're loud as shit. Two of the subs are 2 ohms, wired at 2-Ohms, being powered by a 1000 watt mono Kicker amp (zx1000.1). The other sub is a 4 ohm, wired to 2 ohms, being powered by a 500 watt mono kicker amp (zx500.1). . I agree, I should've put some better design into the box so it fits a lot nicer. Ah well..

 didn't know those pics were gonna get so popular on this thread.. I should've made them bigger! :proposetoast:

His box is actually ported, look at the bottom.

And remind me again what model RF subs you're running?

Rockford used to make really good subs, the last being the HX2's. the newer punch line is garbage, el cheapo plastic cones that liked to crack, Rockford has fell victim to mass marketing penny pinching.

    their amps are solid.

alpine type r's are still in at least the top 5 best bang for your buck subs

heres an old video of my setup in my blazer

It's rare that I agree with an entire post regarding audio. But everything stated in the above post is 100% accurate. :D

    LOL. Truth.

Rockford speakers/subs are is one of the brands I am fairly confident in saying I will never own...

Hey John - Got any TL numbers? Recent, not 3 years ago on the old mic? I would like to know what "Mine destroys you because i'm god" actually does.

You should come out to one of the Texas Bass Productions shows. You know I'm not into SPL but it's a ton of fun hanging out there. I think Curtis is doing one more show this season.

And "mine destroys you"....I know what that sounds like. Kevin has an S10 with two 15's in a really well designed box. I've witnessed him hit a 161 at the kick. He has a remote that he uses outside the vehicle so he doesn't have to sit in there and have his face ripped off. That's absolutely the loudest thing I've ever heard/felt.

a 161 with 2 subs!? either it wasent a TL or he had like 40,000 watts and 20 batteries and 16 alternators.

if its not done on the TL the number is worthless

i love that vid of my blazer, looks like its breathing lol

It absolutely was done on the TL. His truck is scary loud. I believe he has concrete in the roof.

He's not on this site. It's a Chevy S10. I could ask that he email me some pictures I could throw up for a while. But just getting the same subs/amp and throwing them in a ported box will NOT get you anywhere CLOSE to his numbers. There's a lot more to it.

Yeah, Jacob is cool as hell. I will say though, using a CRX is almost cheating because of the transfer function in that car. And down roughly 10db is a LLOOOOOOOT!

I bet it was loud in that CRX but really man, a 161 will scare the piss out of you even if you're expecting it.

Are you sure your stereo is loud? Or is it the subs and speakers that make the sound? :p
