    All the numbers here have been corrected for tires. I have a 3" lift with 33" tires. 4dr V6 4x4. As per Janster the lift and tires have been on for a while and this is not related to that.

    On my drive to work today I used 6.5 gals and went 101 miles, that comes to 15.5 average mpg. Using my scanguage, At 70mph-13.3mpg-1976rpm-82.6hp. This is very unusual for my truck normally seeing 16+mpg at 70. Now at slower speeds it was normal 48mph-23mpg-1376rpm-33hp. Could some of yall chime in and let me know what yall are seeing. Thanks.

    My air filter is clean, tires are at proper psi. If it were the fuel filter wouldn't I see the low mpg at all speeds?

    I traveled in both directions and achieved the same readings, barely any wind. Temp today was 54* maybe a little colder as I left at 2:30am.

    I tanked up at a place that I use when I pass by it. I normaly avoid stations that use ethonal this one does but I still have never gotten these low numbers. When I avoid the ethonal I get 19+ mpg with the ethonal I get 17mpg on average.

    For some reason vehicles get worse gas mileage in colder weather with dry air. Something about the gas mixture not burning completley I think.

    Chris4x4 has some knowledge on the matter I believe.

    Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
    Could just be a flook. Avoid the ethanol at all costs. It is not an efficient fuel source.

    You have 3" lift and 33" tires...gas mileage is gonna drop. That should be a no-brainer.

    4.10 gears, sliders, and lots of buttons.
    Colder air = denser air, thus the ECU adds fuel to maintain the propper air/fuel ratio. Cold moist air (high humidity) has even more oxygen (Water is H2O), so less mpg can be expected from it.

    yeah but the lift is far from new. Been on the truck almost a year this is something I noticed today. As the numbers I have been posting are with the lift and tires.

    maybe an older batch of gas. I know my first tank of gas on my truck myst have been sitting in there for a bit as the mileage was 2 3- lower than normal. I attributed it to bad gas

    Well I am back from work been in for about a week. Use all the gas in the tank until the light came on twice. I know that is bad practice but I have 2 new fuel filters for incase. I didn't need them my fuel is back to normal as of this new tank. The numbers are right back to where they used to be. After I used all the bad gas the first fill up was better but not as good as norm. But this here fill up was down right exciting even my buddy who was riding with me was like damn look 26.5 mpg at 42mph. Previously he saw 42mph and 13mpg.

    Exactly. Also, colder air is more dense meaning your truck is having a harder time pushing through it all which = in more gas consumption.
