okay, i really want to do a 3 inch lift on my truck with some 20s.

what kit is the best to use for a prerunner?

also is it a stupid idea to lift a prerunner, ive had people question me already why do you want to lift a 2 wheel drive truck? i just dont sit high enough i want to sit higher!

    any good advice?

It's not stupid to lift it... (BTW: many threads on this very subject).

Check out and for lift ideas.

Yeah people will assume you have a 4x4 truck and its point less to lift a 2wd and really theres nothing wrong with it. Im redoing my lift with a fox racing setup and i can give a crap if someone gives me crap i still have fun like a 4x4 truck would. What are you trying to achieve with the lift just want a better stance?

I lifted my '09 Prerunner. I have the 3" Toytec adjustable coilovers w/ Toytec 2" AAL and 5125 shocks. Rides great. Currently on stock dinky tires until I can make my mind up on tires and wheels.

I raised it cuz I can! I never go offroad, but love a high stance. I had a 07 Z71 and never used 4x4. I could have bought a 4x4 taco but I was honest with myself and saved the money.

Lifted Prerunner here. I usually lift a vehicle for better off road performance, 2 wd or 4wd.

Exactly why I bought a Prerunner... lol

I had a lifted 4x4 Durango that I took offroad exactly twice in the 2 years I owned it...

I have never lifted a truck before. Because i always remember having to change brake lines and steering boxes and spindles and drive shafts. But the Toytec lifts dont show any of that stuff. Is it really just a matter of shocks and springs to lift a pre runner 2-3 inches?

Lift it! My prior 2001 Tacoma was a 4x4 and I hardly used it, so i went with prerunner this time and I love it. My insurance really didn't change, price was cheaper, and lift was cheaper for a prerunner.
