Hahaha u guys is to funny. Well in that case sorry berry you got a beautiful truck going on there. And no yota I ain't got my wheels yet. And trimming ain't going to be a problem. But is this the same set up you got. Ohh and could u give me an estimate of what price range this whole get up is. Coilover, UCA, shock, bumper, skid plates and all of the above. Jus so I could prepare my wallet to be empty. And shouldn't this be way cheaper than the regular lift kits as well.

Extended coilovers will set you back from $1000 to $1500 depending on brand and style (Icon, Fox, King, Camburg/SAW, etc; resi or non resi) Camburg UCAs are 550, TC's are 750. Front bumper can range from 400-1000, skids for a full set are 500ish.

Rear suspension to do right is minimum 500, going up to 1000.

Then theres other little crap like extended brake lines which will run you at least 100.

These are prices without shipping. I'm sure you'll get raped on shipping to HI.

I'd go with Icon and Camburg for the front, and Icon and Deaver for the rear.

Front will set you back 1500 for Icon extended travel non-reservoir (dont need it if ya aint jumpin) and camburg UCAs. Rear will set you back ~$1000 for Deaver 8's and Icon shocks.

Add in extended brake lines, greaseable shackes, ubolt flip, and you're looking at close to $3000 just in parts.

They have a shorter lifespan depending on how much wheelin' you do. Mud, sad, grit, dirt will wear the ball socket out and cause squeaking. They are easy and cheap to replace, but originally cost a lot to setup. With self install you are already spending atleast 700$ with Total Chaos. The moog upgraded UCA ball-joints i've bought have withstood a lot of torture at a 3'' lift angle. They are only 30$ to replace and simple as well to change in and out. It would take a lot of replacing balljoints at 30$ a piece to equal 1 original purchase of a uniball. To date I've only needed to replace my ball joints once and they were the originals. My moog's haven't failed yet.

That isn't to say that uniballs aren't better. I think they are since they yield greater travel with less strain, however, you do pay for it with open joints to debris. To each their own I guess on what they'd prefer.

Nobody buys UCA's because they are less upkeep. You buy them for better articulation, more travel, and so you can actually get your caster back into spec.

That being said, it's not that hard to keep you're balls clean. Yes it is more work than a ball joint, but I just clean my balls every oil change. My old UCA's are on their second owner now, and still the original balls.

yup clean balls is what your gonna need for some good performance. dirt balls wont get you that far. k guys let me know what you think about this.

Toytec ultimate tacoma lift with bilsteins (takes care of getting everything up)
TC UCA (gonna take them over the camburgs)(got my own reasons for that)
    gonna be running 285/70/15
and still pricing out the armor (any ideas for that)

ohh and i got one of the biggest questions for this set up with the full bumper and all...is this even legal to be driving around on the road...

Ok I think a plan is all comming together. I priced out my things and did some research. Only thing now is to find some body armor. Could you guys help me with some of that. So far all I found was allpro and idk I'm not into that leaving the radiator open. Looking for some radiator cover. Cause this truck will be going through mud as well.

I'm kinda confused now. Don't the plate bumpers have tubes. I thought that they come together like that. I wanted the plate though then if there is a difference. Yota isn't that the allpro front bumper. Thy kinda looks like it. I wanted something that runs down further kinda like berrys one.

no the plate bumpers are made out of all plate steel, no tubes unless you get a light hoop.

nope, all pro doesnt make a bumper like mine, its custom from avid offroad.

like the skid plate than runs down further? jberrys skid actually doesnt go down as far as mine, he has bud built skids that continue down further.

i hit my skid before i hit anything, it goes down far enough

Ok now I c the difference. I didn't notice how urs ran down from the top. Kinda missed it from the glare. Ok yea I like that's the one that I think I like. That's the one that can connect to where the stock plate used to line up rite.
